DGFG is hosting the XXXII Annual EEBA Meeting, on behalf of the European Eye Bank Association, and is organizing a Photo and Art Contest.
The aim of the competition is to raise awareness among the general public, as well as experts beyond the EEBA event, of issues relating to vision and the significance of eyesight and eye care for quality of life, of tissue donation, especially corneal donation, processing and transplantation.
The competition also aims to give prominence and recognition to the people involved in the processes of eye and tissue donation, processing and transplantation.
Each participant can submit a photo/artwork/film etc. by e-mail to eeba@gewebenetzwerk.de by 31 October 2019.
The prizes are sponsored by the German Society for Tissue Transplantation (DGFG) and the European Eye Bank Association (EEBA) with generous support from GO! Express & Logistics and Lions Deutschland.
It is possible to submit several artworks by different people from the same organization, as well as to participate as a group of artists. For each submission, the application form must be completed, signed and submitted together with a document (PDF only) containing the artwork/images of the artwork/photos/image excerpts from the film and a short project description (title of the work, background/idea and creation process of the artwork) with details of the author (name of the artist / artistic group). The PDF should not contain more than five pages. If the submitted artwork is a photograph, it must be additionally submitted in jpg format and identified with the artist's/group's name and title in 300dpi resolution. The maximum file size of each image should not exceed 5 MB. The individual photos must not contain any branding with reference to author/title. If the file attachment is too large to be sent by e-mail, the submission can also be sent by post on a data CD or USB stick to the organization office:

During the EEBA 2020, all attendees will have the opportunity to present their artwork. The organizer will inform the attendees about further details in time. The participants themselves will pay the shipping costs for the artwork that cannot be sent digitally to the organization secretariat and cannot be printed by the organizer.
